Pastor Jonathan Davenport was born June 15, 1989 in Blytheville, AR. He is the youngest of four children born to Pastor Henry and Evangelist Katie Davenport. He confessed Jesus as his savior at the age of 10 years old, and acknowledged his calling to preach at age 15. He was ordained as an Elder in the Church of God in Christ, Inc. on October 13, 2012 by Bishop Jewel R. Withers, Jr., prelate of the Arkansas First Jurisdiction. Bishop Withers later installed him as the Pastor of Nehemiah Temple II COGIC (now known as The Lord’s Church) on July 23, 2016.
After a decade in retail, he was lead of the Lord to begin his career in finances. He began working as a licensed health insurance agent in 2017, and today works as an independent retirement specialist dealing with Medicare, life insurance, and annuities.
On October 28th, 2010 he met Priscilla Smith when she visited Nehemiah Temple II (TLC) on that Thursday night. Within no time they agreed that the Lord had ordained them for one another. They were married on December 30th. They are the proud parents of 6 beautiful children, Matthew, Morgan, Jonathan, Aniyah, Benjamin, and Nathaniel.
On May 25th, 2024 he was elevated to the office of District Superintendent of the G. E. Patterson Memorial District of the Tennessee Sixth Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction under the leadership of Bishop Charles Harrison Mason Patterson, Sr.
